This week's lesson focused on the concept of the prophets, and the role they played in the history of God’s people. We saw how God demonstrated His great love in His patience with humankind. And we challenged students to embrace their role in sharing the news of the Gospel with those who most need it.
We used Jeremiah as an example of what a prophet’s relationship looks like with both God and God’s people. We talked about the patterns that prophecies had-- charges against the nation for not upholding their covenant with God, judgment, and the reminder of future hope. We looked at the following Scripture passages:

At Bear Creek Baptist Church, we believe that our role in Children and Youth Ministry is to partner with parents in the teaching and discipleship of the gospel to their children. While this includes holding regular scheduled services, bible studies, and other events; we also want to help equip parents to continue the conversations we start. For this reason we will be uploading various resources (videos, devotionals, posts, etc...) to help in precisely that. We hope these resources will be a blessing to you and your family and that together we can impact the lives of the next generation for Christ.
