Unit 8-Lesson 3
Each week’s lesson is centered around a “brite* idea” and has three main goals. Each goal seeks to answer questions about God, People, and our Purpose. These questions are referred to as He (God), We (People), and Me (Purpose) questions.
This week's brite* idea was: Jesus is the Savior.
Below is our weekly brite* parent page to help you continue discussing these this week at home.
This week we talked about Jesus’ miracles. Although there are nearly 40 of Jesus’ miracles recorded in the New Testament, we focused in on one huge one, using it to talk about what a miracle is and why they matter. We used the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 as an example of what a miracle is: A miracle was Jesus’s way of, first, proving Himself to be God. Along the way, Jesus compassionately met people’s needs through the miracle itself. We challenged students to bring their needs to God, and invite Him to meet them (even needs that may need a miracle). We looked at the following Scripture passages:
Below are the follow up devotions to this weeks lesson.
At Bear Creek Baptist Church, we believe that our role in Children and Youth Ministry is to partner with parents in the teaching and discipleship of the gospel to their children. While this includes holding regular scheduled services, bible studies, and other events; we also want to help equip parents to continue the conversations we start. For this reason we will be uploading various resources (videos, devotionals, posts, etc...) to help in precisely that. We hope these resources will be a blessing to you and your family and that together we can impact the lives of the next generation for Christ.
